Camping at the Manor

A Picturesque Venue for Camping Groups

As well as our popular Oak Hall Manor weekends we also welcome groups who share our aims to use the manor as an ideal venue for their events.

Our grounds are great for camping, please read on to discover our facilities.

Walled Garden Camping

Within the extensive grounds of the Manor, we have a large Walled Garden. This is a great space for playing games and in the summer months can be used for camping. It can be used as a stand-alone facility – e.g., a Dad’s & lads’ camp, or used in conjunction with a larger church weekend away.

Our Walled Garden Facility includes:
  • Separate male & female showers and WC’s
  • Camper’s kitchen, which has a fridge, freezer, kettle and microwave
  • Fresh water standpipes, CDP & grey water points and recycling facilities

Meeting Venue: Courtyard Lounge

The Courtyard Lounge offers a large meeting space on ground floor level overlooking the courtyard and Manor house. It is often used for a children’s meeting space, as an additional dining area or indeed as a stand-alone venue for camping groups using the Walled Garden Facility.

Meeting Venues: Marquee & Garden Stage

We have a variety of marquees that can be hired for use within the Walled Garden for meetings, children's activities or as a shelter for eating.

Some groups may prefer the Garden Stage as a meeting venue - click here for further details.

Camping and Food

Many camping groups will be happy to cook for themselves - using their own camping gas cookers or bringing barbecues. We have large oil-drum sized BBQ’s that are available to borrow, if you are cooking for larger numbers.

On occasions, the Oak Hall team are able to cater for some or all of the meals throughout your stay. The Manor Kitchen can provide freshly cooked hot meals that can be are delivered to the camping ground, take-away style, using recyclable packaging. If you prefer BBQ style meals, our team will gladly cook these in the open for you.

Please bear in mind we are an alcohol-free site.

Take a Refreshing Dip

The outdoor swimming pool on the south facing terrace is generally open June to September.

The Local Area

Otford Manor's position in the heart of a nationally recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, provides the perfect place to re-connect with the beauty of God's creation. 150 acres of the manor's grounds provide opportunities to explore the extensive woodland, spend time sitting by our tents and enjoy the stunning and far reaching views over Kent. Situated on the North Downs, there are plenty of local walks and options to cycle along quiet lanes to pretty villages.

Come and Visit Us

All who come here are assured of a warm and friendly welcome from our Oak Hall team. We always encourage group organizers to come and have a look around the Manor, as we find having a visual image of the facilities aids sharing the idea of and indeed planning for a time away. Please bear in mind we are a dog free site.
