"Lord, teach us to pray!" A special weekend: 21st-23rd Sept 2018

Prayer...

There seems to be an instinct deep in the heart of every man, woman, child that drives them to speak out to One greater than themselves when over-awed, overwhelmed or overcome…

Relationship...

Jesus came - God here - so that we could live in intimate relationship with God: knowing Him as our Heavenly Father, experiencing His presence, peace and power by His Spirit through prayer.

'Our Father...'

Andy Mayo will be our speaker for this weekend:

'In our first session on Friday night, we eavesdrop on Jesus as He speaks to those following Him, “This then is how you should pray…”

'These words awake in me a longing - a yearning for an authentic life of connection with our Heavenly Father… through Jesus… through prayer.'

Deepening and enjoying prayer...

'On Saturday, we listen in as Paul prays in Ephesians and then David bares his soul to God in the Psalms. We consider together spiritual and practical steps we can take to deepen - and enjoy - our prayer lives.

Life-change...

'Finally, on Sunday, we join the earliest Jesus-followers in one of the first prayer meetings of the age of the Church! The result is striking and the subsequent fruit, life-changing.'

Delicious meals and great conversation...

With the whole weekend based at Oak Hall’s home, “Otford Manor in the hills of Kent”, we have opportunities for late summer walks through the woodlands, delicious meals shared in the Tudor Dining Hall, evening bonfires, and much time to enjoy conversation.

“Lord, teach us to pray!”

With His disciples, our prayer as we approach this weekend and these Scriptures together is, “Lord, teach us to pray!”
