"Oak Hall continues to offer a wide range of holidays in its summer programme that are designed with adventure in mind. For those who prefer a more mellow style we have arranged ideal tours with no overnight travel. All age groups are welcome, but this holiday may particularly appeal to those in the more mature age group."

The Essence of Christmas

Our 'Essence of Christmas holidays' have been very popular. For this refreshing break in 2024, we are staying at the Cliffe Norton Hotel in Tenby, Wales in December .

A treasure of the Welsh south coast, Tenby has a picturesque harbour and colourful buildings on the sea front.

Christmas is a wonderful time to enjoy refreshing celebrations and the joyful message of Jesus' birth.

The cost of £328 represents excellent value and includes:

  • Inspiring Bible series and music each evening
  • Luxury return coach travel from Otford, Kent to the hotel
  • Hotel close to the beach and seafront
  • En-suite hotel rooms, all with tea-making facilities
  • Optional sea view for £25 supplement per person
  • Full Welsh breakfasts each morning
  • Four evening meals including a 'Christmas' meal
  • Also a special festive 'Boxing Day' meal
  • Packed lunches on the two excursion days

Excellent excursions

On our first excursion, we will explore the National Botanical Garden of Wales, which houses the largest single-span glass dome in the world. We will have the opportunity to enjoy many rare and endangered plants from several continents, and hopefully see the December bloom of the Dragon Tree, a centrepiece of the garden.

Our next outing will head west to St. David's, Britain’s smallest city. It is rich in history, with a spectacular cathedral and Bishop's Palace, interesting back streets to explore, and gorgeous sea views.

Our final excursion takes us to two locations. Firstly, we journey to Carmarthen, the oldest town in Wales, dating from 75 AD. Take in the festive atmosphere of the town centre and browse the many interesting shops. Secondly, we go to an annual Christmas event hosted by the picturesque coastal town of Saundersfoot. Enjoy Christmas shopping and festive treats by the seaside.
