Otford Manor

An Ideal Venue for your Church or Mission Team

We are pleased to offer Oak Hall's Manor to churches and Christian organizations who share our aims for their weekends away and mid-week conferences.

We are an ideal venue for your events with extensive grounds including a walled garden - which in the summer months can be used for camping. For more information about camping, please visit our link here.

Meeting Areas

We have four meeting rooms of differing sizes, (Terrace Lounge, Tudor Lounge, Courtyard Lounge and Study Centre). We have a large versatile Dining Hall and a Games Hall, as well as extensive grounds with a walled garden, see below for further details.

The Terrace Lounge

From the Terrace Lounge you may enjoy stunning views out over the valley. Comfortably furnished and equipped with Wi-Fi, electric piano, drum kit and guitars, sound system and ceiling mounted projector. It will accommodate a group of over 100, and yet a group of 30 will also feel at home. We have the Oak Hall Song Book and NIV Bibles available. Fresh coffee is served at various times throughout the day. At other times a kettle and fridge are available for self-service.

The Tudor Lounge

The Tudor Lounge, set up with soft chairs, DVD & TV monitor, is suitable for groups of up to thirty. This versatile meeting area is immediately adjacent to the Tudor Dining Hall and can easily be transformed as an additional dining area.

The Courtyard Lounge

The Courtyard Lounge offers a large meeting space on ground floor level overlooking the courtyard and Manor house. It is often used for a children’s meeting space, as an additional dining area or indeed as a stand-alone venue for camping groups using the Walled Garden Facility.

The Study Centre

A further meeting room is the Oak Hall Year Study Centre, which on occasions is also available for smaller groups. Being adjacent to the Terrace Lounge it may be used as a crèche, a teaching area or for quiet prayer.

The Tudor Dining Hall

The Dining Hall, an old Tudor Barn full of character, with ancient oak beams, is warmed in winter by a glowing log fire. The Oak Hall kitchens are renowned for the excellence of the meals. We pride ourselves on providing the very best of traditional English meals and culinary delights with a wide range of flavours and recipes from around the world.

Tucked away, yet on hand there is a small kitchenette equipped with fridge, microwave, kettle and sink. This is available for guests to make drinks, or for families to heat jars of baby food for their little ones.

Accommodation

Groups that come here generally do so on a residential & catered for basis. We are able to accommodate 75 residential guests, over three accommodation areas, with a mixture of single and twin rooms with additional family rooms with bunk beds for two, four six or eight. Each bedroom has a wash basin, with showers and WC's located along each corridor.

Manor Bookshop

Open to all groups is our Manor Bookshop. This is well stocked with a wide range of Christian books, commentaries and Bible study aids. If your church is having teaching on a particular subject for your weekend, we can ensure, with sufficient notice, that there are books that would be helpful to your fellowship.

The Swimming Pool

The outdoor swimming pool on the south facing terrace is generally open June to September.

The Local Area

Otford Manor's position in the heart of a nationally recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, provides the perfect place to re-connect with the beauty of God's creation. 150 acres of the manor's grounds provide opportunities to explore the extensive woodland, find a quiet spot for contemplation and enjoy the stunning and far reaching views over Kent. Situated on the North Downs, there are plenty of local walks and options to cycle along quiet lanes to pretty villages.

Come and Visit Us

All who come here are assured of a warm and friendly welcome from our Oak Hall team. We always encourage group organizers to come and have a look around the Manor, as we find having a visual image of the facilities aids sharing the idea of and indeed planning for a time away.

Please do get in touch via the form below or give the office a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
