An awe-inspiring location

The Austrian Tirol is a land of beautiful scenery, with rushing streams and small villages nestling at the foot of mighty mountains. We are pleased to be returning to this three-star hotel with spa facilities (including sauna, sanarium and salt water bath) and free Wifi throughout the hotel.

Tasty meals at our hotel

The hotel provides a buffet breakfast, as well as a three-course evening meal with a salad buffet. Rooms are en-suite and for two people. The beds are generally in the Austrian style (two mattresses in one frame, with separate bedding). The hotel is located in the village of Stumm, a short distance from the narrow gauge railway that runs along the valley, and the cable car at Kaltenbach that takes you up into the mountains.

We will meet together each evening for an interesting Bible talk.

See the highlights of the region

Our optional package of three excursions takes us to visit the highlights of the area: Rattenberg with Lake Achensee, Salzburg and the Krimml Waterfalls.

The spectacular Krimml Waterfalls are split across three tiers and surrounded by attractive forest. The water crashes from a height of 380m, bouncing off the rocks as it tumbles down to create an amazing natural display.

Beautiful Lake Achensee

As you enter through the town gate of Rattenberg, you can imagine yourself back in the Middle Ages. In the quaint, cobbled streets the picturesque cafés serve superb coffee and irresistible apfelstrudel with cream.

At Lake Achensee, under the towering mountain peaks, this beautiful natural location offers the opportunity to walk in the fresh alpine air, take the lake steamer or enjoy a hot chocolate by the lakeside.

Salzburg and the Sound of Music

Visit one of Europe’s most admired cities, Salzburg, where graceful architecture is set in magnificent scenery as the Alps meet the lowlands. Salzburg has a great musical heritage, having been home to both Mozart and the Sound of Music. Visit the Mozarteum, re-enact your favourite scenes from the Sound of Music or sit in a café amongst the narrow medieval streets and arcaded courtyards of the Old Town.

"Great value, wonderful people, fantastic hotel and stunning landscape"

Interesting local activities

A wide range of activities are available in the valley including bike hire, appealing walks and an impressive toboggan run. The village of Fugen has hot thermal indoor and outdoor pools, with a 133m slide and wave pool. The adventurous can plummet into the depths of a silver mine at Schwaz using a tiny railway.

Explore the scenic valley

An attractive narrow gauge railway runs along the Zillertal valley through impressive Alpine scenery. There are a number of interesting places at which you can stop. Mayrhofen, at the head of the valley, has a wide range of shops. Cable cars whisk you up the mountain to enjoy stunning views and interesting walks.
