A refreshing four star tour of Bohemia

Our tour of the legendary region of Bohemia is going to be a highlight of this year’s Oak Hall summer. Travelling by our brand new, luxury double-deck coach and with no overnight driving, we stay in 4 star hotels plus two overnight breaks in a 3 star hotel in Köln. Transport for the excursions is included, as well as entrance fees for a number of the sights.

Exploring picturesque Prague

We spend four nights in the attractive town of Beroun. Its proximity to Prague and access to other places of interest makes it an ideal base for exploring the area.

Prague is a city everyone should visit. A pleasant lunch at a riverside café, a rowboat on the river or a carriage-ride through the Old Town are just some of the ways to enhance the memories of this captivating city.

Prague Castle and Charles Bridge

Set high on one of Prague’s seven hills, the majestic Prague Castle and Cathedral provide stunning views over the city. Stretching over the river, the 600-year-old Charles Bridge offers a wide range of local artists and musicians the opportunity to share their talents with the world passing by. King Wenceslas sits astride his horse in the vast square named after him, while the architecture and charm of the Old Town with its astronomical clock and cafés are sure to draw you back.

Ancient stories in this majestic medieval capital city

Much of the medieval character of Prague has survived and you can spend hours wandering back in time.

Our excursions include a walking tour with a registered guide to introduce us to the stories of the city of Prague. St Nicholas Church is an architectural masterpiece that
provides the heart to this ancient and worthy city.

Ceské Budejovice - exploring Southern Bohemia

Outside of Prague there are beautiful landscapes and intriguing places to explore as we head further south to the provincial capital of southern Bohemia: Ceské Budejovice.

Meandering alleyways and ancient waterways

We make this town our home for three nights. Boasting one of Europe’s largest main squares, Ceské Budejovice has an intriguing labyrinth of lanes and meandering alleyways that skirt ancient waterways.

Unique and ancient Holašovice

From our southern base, we visit the UNESCO heritage site of Holašovice with its baroque buildings and winding streets. Later we explore the fairy-tale town of Ceský Krumlov with its magnificent castle whose construction began in 1240.

Luxurious ride home in our Oak Hall coach

Our leisurely journey home from Köln will be a fitting finale to a refreshing and inspiring ten day tour together.
