Beaches and culture

On this expedition you have the best of two worlds - the sun-soaked beaches of the Venetian Riviera and the historical, cultural charm of Venice.

We will be staying in Lido di Jesolo, the beach resort of Venice, to the east of the city, with mile upon mile of wide, golden sands. Our comfortable three-star hotel has en-suite rooms, with breakfast and evening meals included.

A world-renowned city

Visitors from across the centuries have fallen in love with the city of Venice. It has a unique setting with its elegant palaces and canals, the romance of the Rialto Bridge matched with the splendour of St Mark’s Square. Gondoliers in their sailors’ shirts and beribboned straw hats guide their gondolas through the maze of waterways.

Sun-soaked sand and activity

There will be plenty to do! Along the Venetian Riviera you will find water sports and cycle rides, huge ice creams and pizzas, warm sea and bright sunshine. This is a location not to be missed! Throughout the day you can enjoy the beach action and then cool off in the sea. There are also sophisticated Italian shops where you can browse for hours and sip a cappuccino in the cafés.

The heart of beautiful Venice

Our optional package of three excursions takes us into the heart of Venice, to the islands of Murano and Burano and also to Verona.

For our Venice excursion, a scenic ride by coach and water bus takes us to St Mark’s Square, where we enjoy a guided walking tour. You can also choose to return on free days to explore all the city has to offer.

"I have made lasting friends and have returned refreshed and inspired!"

The Romeo and Juliet city

Renowned as the setting for Romeo and Juliet, Verona has a wealth of sites steeped in history and streets of pink-hued medieval buildings. The easy-going city, rich in art and architecture, has plenty of sights for us to visit.

Explore the lagoon islands

The outlying islands of Burano and Murano, celebrated for the ancient traditions of glass blowing and lace making, provide another enjoyable part of our excursion package. We will have the opportunity to visit at least one of the islands - the boat cruise is a great way to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

At the end of each day we return for our evening meal and a helpful Bible talk, which is always a highlight.
