Ski the magnificent Andorran Pyrenees

Nestled between France and Spain and defined by the soaring Pyrenees mountains, the Principality of Andorra is one of the smallest states in Europe. Known for their generous welcome, pure mountain air, and exquisite cuisine, we are excited to again be including this Catalan-speaking destination in our Oak Hall Winter programme.

200kms of high altitude linked pistes and runs

This winter, we will again find ourselves in one of the most up-and-coming winter sports destinations: on the magnificent Grandvalira ski slopes. Over the last fifteen years, there has been massive investment in this area as they combined seven resorts into one - linking up an enormous 200kms of pistes into a new mega ski and boarding resort.

There are 60 lifts, so there is plenty of mountain to explore. The high altitude is over 1,800m and up to 2,500m. It is snow-sure with snowmaking machines to cover the pistes if needed.

Host to the Alpine Ski World Cup Finals in 2023

The quality of the skiing has been internationally recognised and brought the 2019 World Cup to be hosted right here. The area was so popular and the events so successful that in 2023, the Alpine Ski World Cup Finals were back again.

There are many easy blue slopes along with more challenging red and black runs. The ski season in Gradnavilla runs from the end of November through to mid-April. We have chosen ideal dates in February and March.

Our hotel, just 400m from the main high-speed gondola

Our hotel is just 400m from the main gondola in the town of Encamp - high in the Pyrenees where we catch the high-speed gondola ride - one of the longest in Europe - across the Cortals valley and up to the heights of the Pyrenees.

Every day there are a wide range of mountain slopes to explore. A rest is always welcome in one of the many cafés and restaurants. Andorra is an independent, tax-free principality so refreshments are at reasonable prices.

Inspiring Bible talks and quaint, quirky cafés

In the evenings, we return from the mountains to our ensuite rooms before enjoying a hot and revitalising evening meal in the hotel restaurant. Later, we share our exciting Oak Hall evening programme including the opportunity to listen to a short, inspiring Bible talk. Our town of Encamp is known for its atmospheric combination of Romanesque and twenty-first century architecture, along with its quaint, quirky and interesting cafés - in the evenings we'll stroll out into the streets as a closure to a memorable day high in the Pyrenees.

Come and join us this winter!

We will hire our skis, snowboards, boots and poles in resort and with lockers available to hire right at the gondola station.

Come and join us this winter for a favourite destination - Andorra in the peaks of the Pyrenees!

Independent Travel

You can select to travel independently during the booking process (NB we are unable to book one way flights or change the date of travel).

Click on 'View/Book' above to see the independent discount and the cost for the optional airport transfer.

The airport transfer is booked to coincide with the group flights. Please note that the driver would not be able to wait if you miss the transfer.

If you are travelling independently but someone else in your party will use the group flights, please make separate bookings.

If there are any changes to the holiday, we would not be able to cover the cost of changes to your independent flights. We would therefore recommend booking fully flexible tickets or joining the holiday using our flights.
