A most sought after winter destination

Come with us this winter to one of the most sought-after destinations in Switzerland: the idyllic village of Champéry. Full of charm, it offers endless possibilities to indulge your passion for snowsports.

 

Ski from Switzerland to France in a day

Using the Planachaux lift near our chalet, we quickly reach a wide range of resorts in the Portes du Soleil. With a remarkable 650km of groomed piste across 12 interlinked resorts in both Switzerland and France, there is a vast variety of runs and challenges. An all area lift pass gives access to this series of superb mountain areas. Ski lockers are available to rent at the top of the cable car for handy ski storage each day.
 
 

A dramatic mountain setting

Champéry is a charming traditional village at the end of the Vallée d'Illiez. Its wooden chalets, shops and restaurants nestled amidst dramatic surroundings make for a combination not to be missed. The village also offers us a comprehensive sports centre boasting an indoor ice-rink, swimming pool and a fitness centre.

Welcoming chalet

Our traditional chalet is conveniently located just 400m from the gondola station. Shops and restaurants are a short stroll away. In this pleasant, renovated country house, all of our rooms have wash basins, and en-suite rooms are also available with a supplement. There is even a sauna available at no extra charge, so don't forget your swimming gear. Oak Hall will be running the whole chalet so you can be sure of a warm friendly welcome home each evening with a plentiful supply of complimentary hot chocolate, tea and coffee.
 
 

Evenings shared

Many 'Oak-Hallers' would explain that for them, a vital part of the unique 'Oak Hall mix' is the evening programme. After delicious food and great conversation, we invite the Oak Hall speaker to share a short passage of the Bible with us. This is an unusual approach to aprés-ski! But we find that - whether someone has never thought about the Christian faith before - or they are longterm follower of Jesus Christ - these evenings shared are a wonderful highlight of each day.
 
 

Excellent transport links from Geneva for independent travel

To reach Champéry independently, the journey is a simple one. 

With flights from all over the UK into the international hub of Geneva, an enjoyable Swiss train ride then whisks you into Champéry to meet the Oak Hall group.

Alternatively, many guests have successfully driven and met the group in Champéry, enjoying the scenic drive through France!

Ideal for intermediate to expert skiers

With its exciting, extensive and varied slopes, Champéry is particularly suitable for those who have had some previous skiing experience. 

This year, we will be using 'Red Carpet' to deliver our ski instruction in Champéry. This ski school has been popular with Oak Hall guests over the years and the cost is £158 for 10 hours of ski tuition. This can be reserved when you book your holiday.
