The Alpi Bresciani Mountains - Gem of the Italian Alps

We have enjoyed two very popular Oak Hall Seasons here so we are skiing and snowboarding in the Italian Alpi Bresciani Mountains again with an extended programme. Our modern resort of Montecampione is ideal with extensive ski slopes serviced by 20 lifts. The interlinked mountains provide wide un-crowded slopes with an ideal variety catering for beginners through to advanced. Snowboarders are also welcome.

High peaks and guaranteed snow

The mountain peaks are at 6562 feet with the ski slopes from 5906 feet. There is guaranteed snow covering 35 km of exciting runs with an impressive 2480 feet of vertical descent.

Being in Italy, there are numerous mountain lodges for enjoying the well-earned cappuccinos and cakes whenever it is time to relax in the sun while experiencing the fun of the slopes.  Local prices in the cafés are refreshingly good value.  A coffee costs about 1 euro and pizzas are from 6 euros.

Not far from the beautiful Lake Iseo in Lombardy, this resort is loved and enjoyed by the Italians. There is much to be discovered in terms of Italian culture as well as excellent skiing and snowboarding slopes.

"

Enjoy a magnificent breakfast buffet. Glide through interlinked-mountain runs. Taste authentic pizza in the mountain café.

Laugh with others as you ride to the peaks and hone your skiing. Gaze down on Italian villages as they nestle against the mountainside. Return to the warm and luxurious hotel. Relax with new friends over the feast of an evening meal. Reflect on the adventures of another beautiful Montecampione Day!

Skiing and boarding for all abilities

For those learning to ski or board there are two beginner areas in the resort. Once you have picked up the basics there are ideal blue runs to get you moving about the slopes. The red runs then present a challenge to your new found skills towards the end of the week. For those who have been skiing and riding for a number of times there is the opportunity to travel the three mountains on beautiful wide red runs, hone your carving and enjoy the challenge of the black runs, while enjoying spectacular views.

Off-piste challenges

There is also the opportunity to explore the off-piste with a local guide (arranged and payable locally). For those experienced winter sports enthusiasts wanting to bring friends to introduce them to the mountains this is an ideal resort to enjoy.

An optional day at the high-altitude resort of Colere is available at a cost of only £20 including the additional ski pass and ski bus.

Plenty of other activities

In the evenings we meet together for a time of singing and a Bible talk, before continuing our evening with more fun activities. You may wish to relax in the sauna or Turkish bath after playing in the snow.

Trying the local ice cream from the gelateria is a must.  Very near the hotel there is an impressive spa for swimming and relaxation as well as a skating rink.

As an alternative to skiing there are opportunities to go snowshoeing, explore the nearby spa town of Darfo Boario or visit the beautiful Lake Iseo. A train ride takes you alongside the lake to where the boat crosses to Monte Isola, Europe's largest inland island. For those who have friends and family who do not ski, this would be an ideal location with lots of other activities to explore.

Oak Hall 'Family Week' 14th - 21st Feb

We are pleased to offer an inclusive package in Montecampione again this winter, with lift passes included in the basic cost.

The Ballroom Restaurant presents varied and high-quality meals. Each evening there is a different menu based on various Italian regional specialities.  Free hot chocolate completes the evening after our meeting.
