The Austrian Zillertal - one of Europe’s largest winter sports areas

The Zillertal is definitely the place to be for skiers with its massive range of great pistes being ideal. This huge area is served by an array of modern lifts, making it easy to reach a vast selection of pisted runs suitable for all abilities.

Unbeatable variety for real adventures

The variety of high level runs and sunny open pistes offered by Hochzillertal at a height of 8,205 feet is just the start of what the area has to offer. The winding Apfelstrudel run has its ever-popular piste-side café.

A long exhilarating descent

The challenge of fresh powder underneath the Ofererjoch chairlifts together with the long, exhilarating descent into the Zillertal valley, combine to create a paradise for all on skis, snowboards and snow blades. The whole area is also interlinked into the Hochfugen area.

Hintertux year round snow security

The Hintertux Glacier is at the far end of the valley and provides snow security with year round snow security at the incredible height of 3,250m.

Hochfugen is an exciting area not to be missed. Fast, challenging runs are under the awesome peal of the Pfaffenbuhel. 181 km of runs provide the best for us all.

Comfortable 4-star hotel nestling among the valleys

We will be staying at the 4* Zillertal hotel at Strass. Breakfast and evening meals will be prepared for us by the Unterladstette family. With a rich breakfast buffet, as well as a three-course evening menu and salad buffet, the whole experience here is very special. The valley railway or ski bus provide easy access any of the many resorts.

All this combines to create a magnificent snowsport experience.
