Please find below some notes about the meal arrangements, based on our previous experience at the hotels.
Breakfast and the evening meal are a buffet, so hopefully you should be able to choose something suitable. However, separate options for dietary requirements haven’t been available in the past and the hotels haven’t been able to provide gluten free bread or soya milk, for example.
Breakfast in Jerusalem tends to include fruit salad, corn flakes, cucumber, eggs, tomato etc. In Galilee, it tends to include salad, cereals, omelettes (it is a kosher breakfast without meat). Dinner usually has plenty of salad and vegetables and a variety of meats in sauce or gravy (lamb, chicken and turkey). Often there is also a fish dish. There is also fruit and bread available (pitta bread in the Arab areas).
It’s worth noting that it’s unlikely that the local staff will understand dietary requirements in the way that a UK restaurant would, particularly in Jerusalem and Bethlehem (so they may not be able to confirm all the ingredients in a dish and are unlikely to have considered cross contamination, for example).
For the flights, the airline offers categories e.g. vegetarian or gluten free. You can check the full list of categories on their website. They aren't able to offer specific meal requests that don't fit in one of their categories e.g. vegetarian with no onion. We will choose the category that we think matches closest to your dietary requirement but please let us know if you have a specific request (e.g. if your diet is gluten free and vegetarian, you can let us know if you would prefer the gluten free option or the vegetarian option, otherwise we will choose one of these).
